Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love the music, the weather, the lights, and spending time with my family. As a child, I was always the last one awake. My mom always had to wake me up on Christmas morning. Bryson is exactly the same. I always wake up so early because I can't wait to see his face when he sees what Santa has brought. I always have to wake him up. This year was no different. When he finally did wake up he was so excited to see what Santa had brought him. He loves Star Wars and art so Santa got him some awesome Star Wars figures and a new art easel. He also asked Santa to bring him Disney Infinity for Xbox. He kept pointing at everything and saying "I can't believe he got me Star Wars".
After exploring what Santa got him, it was time to open presents from mommy and daddy. Of course it was mostly Lego Star Wars stuff and he loved it all. After opening our gifts, he opened his stocking. He couldn't believe that Santa knew his favorite candy was Skittles and that he collect Pez dispensers.
For lunch, we headed to my parents house in Trussville. We ate lunch first and then let the boys open their presents. This was a fun year for them. They had fun reading the names on the presents and passing them out to everybody. They also enjoyed watching other people open their presents.
After lunch and presents at my parents house, we drove a few streets over to Aunt Evelyn's (Granny Goose) house for dessert and more presents. She makes the best desserts and her presents are not the typical things that you would expect to get but the things you need. She gives us detergent, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. We usually don't have to buy these things for a few months.
We ended our day with dinner with Robert's family at his sister Amy's house. Bryson loves going over there and visiting with everybody. He always has so much fun.
