A-Day 2015

This year for A-Day, Auburn had a block party concert featuring Nick Jonas, Kesha and Nelly. I thought it would be total madness with the concert planned and almost thought about not going, but Bryson loves Nick Jonas and A-Day is always a great way to see if Bryson is ready for us to buy him a ticket for a full game during football season, so we decided to go. It was packed! Thankfully we found some seats right by the band which is where Bryson loves to sit. He loves dancing to all of the music (especially the Star Wars theme song), watching Aubie, watching them run with the flags, and he is starting to like watching the game. I still don't think he's quite ready for a full game yet. Maybe next year. Since it was so busy, we had to wait a while to be seated at Cheeburger Cheeburger so we missed the first few minutes of the concert. Bryson loved listening to Nick Jonas sing some of his favorite songs. We left when he was finished because it was getting late and the crowd wasn't as family friendly anymore. Bryson had a blast and is excited about football season!

Baseball 2015

This spring we signed Bryson up to play t-ball. We chose t-ball because he had never played before. We found out he was too old and would have to play coach pitch. After reading the rules we were ok with this. The kids get 3 pitches and if after 3 they don't hit the ball, then they can hit it off the tee. Sadly only a few 5 year olds signed up to play so there were not enough for their own league. Bryson had to play with the 6 year olds with no option to hit off a tee. I was so worried that he would get discouraged and hate it like he he did soccer. Thankfully the umpires didn't think it was fair and they made a comprimise. The 5 year olds would get 5 pitches instead of 3.
Bryson started off the season a little rocky but by the middle of the season he loved it and was doing pretty well! The night of his first hit he got the game ball and was so proud! We were also proud of him the night he made it to second base! Sadly his team never won a game but Bryson didn't care. Their coach never planned practices with the team so they never got a chance to really learn how to play. Hopefully that will be different in the fall. Bryson loved baseball so much he keeps asking when it's going to be fall so he can play again. I'm so glad that he found a sport that he loves.

Spring 2015

We had a super busy Spring this year. With Bryson playing baseball and everything else we did, we stayed busy, but we had so much fun!
We started off the spring with James Spann visiting our school. Bryson enjoyed listening to him talk about the weather. He really enjoyed all the pictures he brought to show the kids.

We also enjoyed Dr. Seuss week at school. Each day the kids dressed up and we planned some fun snacks for the kids. The kids wore mixed up clothes, silly hats, silly socks, favorite character and crazy hair day.  Bryson loved dress as your favorite character day. He really wanted to be the Grinch and I could not figure out how to make that happen. Thankfully his awesome Aunt Lisa is super talented and made him a Grinch shirt the day before. He loved it.

Bryson went to his friend Luke's birthday party. They played corn hole together and decorated Easter eggs to look like super heroes.

His class had a fun day on St. Patrick's Day. They looked for a leprechaun at the school and enjoyed a yummy St. Patrick's Day treat.

During Spring Break week we got to leave work early. I told Bryson we could do something special and told him he could pick. He chose to go to Target and eat lunch. Not sure what made him choose that but we had a lot of fun!

Spring ended with a visit to the Elementary School. The kids got to meet their counselor, tour the kindergarten classrooms, see the lunchroom, visit the library, and take a tour of the playground. I can't believe that he will be in kindergarten next year!
