It's a...!

With this pregnancy, we had the opportunity to pay to have an early gender ultrasound instead of waiting until 20 weeks like we did with Bryson. Since we had already waited so long for this baby, we decided to have it done. My mom offered to pay for it as one of our baby gifts. We were all so excited for that day to come! We made the appointment for a Friday afternoon since we were having a gender reveal party for our friends that next day. This baby is way more active then Bryson was. The only problem, the umbilical cord kept getting in the way. The ultrasound tech was pretty sure she knew the sex but didn't want to tell us until she could get another look, so we went to visit with the doctor and waited to go back and have another ultrasound. This time the umbilical cord had moved and we could see. It's a boy!!!! Bryson was so excited! I was just excited for a healthy baby, and everything was perfect. After the appointment we went to the gift shop and bought a few It's a boy treats to share with our family and friends. Since Lisa could not come to the gender reveal party, we went to her house to tell her. We showed her the pictures and video and she was excited too. We were eating dinner with my family that night so to announce to them,  we wrapped a chocolate bar in a ton of tissue paper alternating blue and pink.

The next night was our gender reveal party. It was hard not to tell everybody before then. We bought pink and blue decorations and let Bryson pick out a pinata to hit. We filled it with different kinds of blue candy so when he busted it open all the blue candy would fall out. We are so excited to be having another boy and that he is healthy. Now the impossible task of choosing a name.
